This Privacy Policy describes how Doggi ("Doggi," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, processes, and discloses personal information in connection with your use of the Doggi mobile application. Doggi is a platform exclusively for dog owners to connect with other compatible dog owners and plan dog play dates. Doggi is not a dating application for humans.

Doggi is operated by No Pressure Development LLC, which is the company responsible for your personal information (the "data controller") under this Privacy Policy.
What This Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Doggi iOS application and any related services offered by Doggi. It does not apply to:
- Personal information collected or used by third-party services when you click on links within the app. Please refer to each third party's own privacy policy for information about their practices.
- Personal information Doggi may collect in other contexts, such as from job applicants or business partners, which is governed by separate policies or agreements.
Doggi's Approach to Privacy
Doggi takes your privacy seriously. We have internal policies and practices designed to keep your personal information secure and to ensure that it is only used in ways consistent with this Privacy Policy. When building features and products, we strive to apply principles of privacy-by-design, and we are committed to ensuring that your personal information is handled properly and with care.
The Personal Information We Collect
The specific information we collect depends on how you use Doggi. We may collect the following categories of personal information:
Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: Your email address, and password when you register for an account.
User Profile Information: Your name, date of birth, gender, and any other details you choose to share on your profile.
Dog Profile Information: Your dog's name, date of birth, gender, breed, second breed (if applicable), neutered/spayed status, size, energy level, and any other details you choose to share on your dog's profile.
Profile Photos and Videos: Photos of your and your dog(s) that you upload to your or your dog(s) profile.
User-Generated Content: Messages, reactions, GIFs, reviews, and other content you post or send within the app.
Communications: Records of any correspondence if you contact our support team.
Information Collected Automatically
Location Data: With your permission, we use your device's location to calculate an approximate, coarse area (roughly a 5 km radius) so we can show you nearby dog owners. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates on our servers — only this approximate area. You may disable location access at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Doggi.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Log Data: IP address, app crash reports, and diagnostic data.
Activity Information: When you have the app open, it periodically tells our servers that you are active. We keep only the time you were most recently active — not a history of your activity — so we can show your activity status to your matches (see "With Other Doggi Users" below) and so we can identify inactive accounts (see "Data Retention").
Language Preference: The language your app is set to, so that the emails and notifications we send you are in the same language.
Information from Third Parties
If you sign in using Apple Sign-In or another third-party authentication provider, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email address) consistent with your privacy settings on that platform.
How We Use Your Information
In this section we explain the purposes for which Doggi uses personal information. We may rely on a combination of automated processing and human review to achieve these purposes.
To Provide Our Services: We use your information to create and manage your account and dog profile, match you with compatible nearby dog owners, and facilitate the planning of dog play dates.
To Send Notifications: We send push notifications about new likes, new matches, incoming messages, report updates, occasional reminders about matches you haven't talked to in a while, and important account notices (such as an upcoming deletion of an inactive account), subject to your notification preferences. You can mute notifications for any individual conversation in the app.
To Communicate With You: We respond to support requests and send you account-related communications and, where permitted, promotional messages.
To Ensure Safety and Security: We detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, policy violations, and other harmful or illegal activity.
Content Moderation and Review: To keep Doggi safe, authorized members of our team may access and review account information, profiles, photos, and message content, including when it is reported to us or flagged by our automated systems, in order to investigate and act on policy violations, abuse, safety concerns, or legal requests. Messages sent within Doggi are not end-to-end encrypted and may be reviewed for these purposes. Where appropriate we take action such as warnings, restrictions, suspensions, or account removal, and we may notify you of the outcome of reports you submit.
To Comply With Legal Obligations: We use and retain information as required to meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service.
How We Share Your Information
Doggi does not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
With Other Doggi Users
Information you add to your public dog profile, such as your dog's name, photos, breed, temperament, and general area, is visible to other users. Your precise GPS coordinates are never shared directly with other users; we display only approximate distance or neighborhood-level proximity.
Activity Status: By default, people you have matched with can see when you are online or were recently active (for example, "Active 5 min ago"). You can turn this off at any time in the app under Settings > Show activity status. When it is off, your matches see no activity status.
With Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate Doggi. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf. They include:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — cloud hosting, databases, file storage, sign-in, app integrity checks, and push notification delivery.
- Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC) — delivery of account and support emails.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery, and map search. When you search for dog-friendly places, your search and approximate map area are sent to Apple Maps from your device.
- GIPHY — GIF search in chat. Your search terms are sent to GIPHY through our servers, without your name or account details. The GIFs themselves are loaded directly from GIPHY's servers, which means GIPHY receives your device's IP address and basic device information when GIFs are displayed. GIPHY's handling of that information is described in the GIPHY Privacy Policy.
For Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Doggi, our users, or the public; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud or security vulnerabilities.
In Connection With a Business Transfer
If Doggi is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
With Your Consent
We may share your information with additional third parties when you have explicitly consented to such sharing.
In Aggregated or De-Identified Form
We may share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you, with partners, researchers, or the public for analytical or research purposes.
Location Data
Doggi's core features depend on location to connect you with nearby dog owners. Your device's location is used only while the app is in use (foreground) to compute an approximate, coarse area (about a 5 km radius); we do not store precise GPS coordinates, and we never collect location in the background.
Other users only ever see approximate distance or neighborhood-level proximity — never your exact location. You can revoke location permissions at any time via iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Doggi. We do not sell your location data.
Photos and Videos
Photos you upload are stored securely on our servers and used solely to display your and your dog's profile to other Doggi users. We do not use your photos to train third-party artificial intelligence models without your explicit consent. You retain ownership of the content you upload; however, by uploading it you grant Doggi a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the app consistent with your privacy settings.
You may delete photos from your profile at any time through the app.
Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to your device about new likes, new compatible dog matches, incoming messages, report updates, reminders about inactive matches, and important account notices. When you first install Doggi, you will be asked to grant notification permissions. You may withdraw this permission at any time via iPhone Settings > Notifications > Doggi.
Disabling push notifications will not affect your account or delete your data, but you may miss time-sensitive information related to messages or play dates.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law, regulation, tax obligations, or for fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
Inactive Accounts: If you do not use Doggi for 12 consecutive months, we will delete your account and its data. At least 30 days before that happens, we will email you (and send a notification in the app) with the deletion date. Simply opening the app and signing in before that date keeps your account — nothing else is required. Accounts deleted for inactivity go through the same deletion process described above.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Correct: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to Portability: Request that we provide your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to Opt-Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages, or by contacting us directly.
- Right to Restrict or Object: Request that we restrict or cease certain processing of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@doggi.app. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we collected it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under California law.
To submit a California privacy rights request, contact us at support@doggi.app. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, provided the agent can verify their authority to act for you.
Age Requirement
Doggi is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the app. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and promptly delete their information. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please notify us at support@doggi.app.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, application integrity verification (App Check), and regular security assessments.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized account access.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Doggi app may contain links to third-party websites or services such as dog parks, veterinary resources, or social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third parties you interact with through or outside the app.
International Users
Doggi is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States and choose to use our app, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where our service providers process personal information of users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on their data processing terms, which include the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and their UK and Swiss equivalents) where required.
Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are located in the EEA (including France), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent local law applies to our processing of your personal information, and No Pressure Development LLC is the data controller.
Legal bases. We process your personal information on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create and run your account, show your profile to nearby dog owners, match you, deliver your messages, and send service notifications.
- Legitimate interests — to keep Doggi safe (moderation, fraud and abuse prevention), to secure and improve the app, to show activity status to your matches (which you can turn off), to remind you about inactive matches, and to delete inactive accounts. We balance these interests against your rights, and you may object at any time.
- Consent — for location access and push notifications, which you grant through your device's permission prompts and may withdraw at any time in your device settings.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
Your rights. In addition to the rights listed in "Your Privacy Rights and Choices", you have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing that happened before), and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, this is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), www.cnil.fr. We will respond to requests from EEA, UK, and Swiss users within one month, which may be extended by up to two further months for complex requests; we will tell you if that happens.
Automated decisions. Reports submitted by other users can lead to an automatic temporary restriction of an account when they reach certain thresholds. Our team is notified of every such case and reviews it, and you can contest it at any time by contacting support@doggi.app.
Users in Canada
If you are located in Canada, we handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Québec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25). The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Doggi can be reached at support@doggi.app. Your personal information is stored and processed in the United States, as described in "International Users". You may withdraw your consent, access or correct your information, or ask us to stop disseminating it, as described in "Your Privacy Rights and Choices". If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca) or, in Québec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app, by email, or by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document. Your continued use of Doggi after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
